PLAISTOW - The Knights of Columbus of Plaistow/Atkinson and surrounding communities will be holding their 18th annual St. Jude Golf Open on Sat., June 7, at 7:00 a.m., at Apple Hill Golf Course in East Kingston. This year’s Open will benefit two local families in need of financial assistance. The first family’s husband has terminal cancer and the wife is working two full time jobs. They have two children at home and very recently the wife just broke her ankle and is now unable to work. The second person benefitting from this year’s Open is a 27 year old who suffered a traumatic injury last year and is now a quadriplegic.
The cost of the Open is $95.00 per person, and there are also hole sponsorships available for local businesses or individuals at a $100.00. There is a sponsor and foursome package available for $450. The sponsors will be recognized at the Open for their support. The Open is a scramble format and includes 18 holes of golf, cart, a gift, prizes and a great steak BBQ. The St. Jude Open is a very popular event and typically sells out early so if you want to play we would recommend you make plans very soon. You can either download a brochure at www.kofc6617.org or you can contact Don Richardson at 603-362-4520.
The St. Jude Council wants to thank the local community and businesses for their continuing support of the Knights and our continuing charitable activities.
