PLAISTOW — Registration is now open for the Plaistow Old Home Day Road Race. This year the race will be held on Sat., June 22 at 9:00 a.m.

The 39th annual Plaistow Old Home Day 5k is a 3.1 mile flat loop that begins and finishes near the Town Hall on Main St, Route 121A. Annually, 250 plus runners compete for trophies in their age group. New this year there will be Cash prizes for the top three times for men and women: first place: $100.00, second place: $75.00, third place: $50.00. Trophies will also be award to various age groups.

There will be refreshments served following the race, and most runners stay to partake in the many sights and sounds of the Old Home Day Celebration.

All runners must register for the race, and it is now easier than ever before! There are two ways to register. You can wait until the day of the race and register at the Finish Line at the Town Hall on Main St, Route 121A, for $25.00, but you may not receive a shirt. You can be assured of a technical race shirt, if you register online, for $20.00, by 4:00 p.m. on Fri., June 21. Register online at

All proceeds from the Plaistow Old Home Day Road Race will go the Plaistow Lions Club Power Pack Program. This program provides seven meals over the weekend for elementary age school kids in need throughout the school year.
