Thank You, Knitters and Crocheters!
We give many thanks to the ladies who gathered at the Kingston Community Library on September 13 to knit and crochet hats for our homeless veterans. Experience levels varied, lots was learned, and a feeling of goodwill permeated the group as we made hats for our heroes.
This kick-off campaign was just the beginning of a drive to collect as many hats as possible to give to the homeless veterans serviced by the Liberty House in Manchester, and the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center in Haverhill, MA. Hats will be collected until Fri., December 19. Please feel free to drop off your hats or donations of yarn to the Kingston Community Library at 2 Library Lane in Kingston, during operating hours. If you’d like to participate and need yarn or a pattern, you can pick them up at the library as well.
We are so very grateful to the knitting groups of the Kingston Community Library and the Fremont Public Library for their continued support and participation in this on-going annual event. Please call Gerry Tilley at 603-895-6658 for further information.
