I was sworn in the following Monday after the Tuesday Town Elections for a three-year term on the Kingston Planning Board. I was quite pleased with the outcome and want to thank you very much for giving me the opportunity to serve Kingston once again.

Incidentally, there is the opportunity to sit on a Kingston committee. Some committees are understaffed and need new members to fill in the gaps. Other committees have just hung out their shingles recently, and need new members to get things going.

All in all, the time is ripe to volunteer and serve for the good of Kingston. But hurry; get your name on the ballot well ahead of the deadline. Actually, forget about the deadline. Some positions are appointed by the vote of the Selectmen. In any case, there is a time to vote and a time to volunteer out of one's busy schedule.
