Kayla Johnson from Fremont recently received a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). Majoring in Food Science (AGLS), Johnson will join a network of 46,000 CALS alumni sharing their talents and making a difference around the world.
Olivia Randlett of Brentwood has been named to the Dean’s List at Colby Sawyer College. While at Colby College, Olivia was inducted into the Presidential Blue Key Society, was recognized for National Technical Honors Society, played rugby, and was on the track and field team. She has been accepted to Boston University for her graduate degree in Public Health. Proud parents are Donna Buxton and Arthur Randlett.
Luke Botticelli has been named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire and earned Highest Honors for the Fall 2019 semester. Luke is a Biochemistry major and the son of Alfred Botticelli, Jr. of Newmarket and Catherine Botticelli of Kingston.
Ian A. Randle of Exeter has been selected for inclusion on St. Lawrence University's Dean's List for academic achievement during the Spring 2019 semester. Randle is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in biology. Randle attended Berwick Academy.
The Assumption Department of Athletics has announced that 41 student-athletes were named to the 2020 Assumption College Men's Lacrosse team. Though the spring season was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team competed in the first four games of the Greyhounds' spring season. Local athletes honored include: Connor Flanagan of Kensington, Class of 2023, and Nicholas Storniolo of Atkinson, Class of 2022.
Saint Anselm College student Sarah Siudut of Brentwood, a Psychology major in the class of 2023 has been accepted into Alpha Lambda Delta, a national honor society for first-year success, for the 2019-2020 academic year.
New Hampshire Education Commissioner Frank Edelblut recently congratulated six New Hampshire students selected as semifinalists for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. Students honored include: Katherine Ruo-wei Duan, Hanover - Phillips Academy, Sanath Guruprasad Govindarajan, Exeter - Phillips Exeter Academy, Jeffrey Lam, Nashua - Nashua High School South, Sahil Mahendrakar, Nashua - Nashua High School South, Claudia Reine, Bedford - Bedford High School, and Claire Emily Reynolds, Nashua - Bishop Guertin High School.
Trevor Cosgrove of Exeter, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2021, has earned the Fall 2019 Dean's Award for Academic Excellence. Cosgrove is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy.
Saint Anselm College sophomore nursing student Daniel Komenda of Sandown joined fellow student nurses in the Abbey Church for a blessing before beginning clinical placements. The Blessing of the Hands Ceremony held on January 24th is a college tradition that symbolically and literally pays honor to the hands of nursing students. Komenda, along with 96 other future nurses representing 8 states received the blessing of hands, marking the beginning of their clinical rotations through Saint Anselm College's nursing program. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be in good academic standing and have completed three semesters of a liberal arts nursing curriculum.
The New Hampshire Democratic Party High recently announced that Kyle Duffy of Atkinson has been chosen to join the New Hampshire delegation at the Democratic National Convention. As Democratic National Convention Pages, these high school students will play an important role assisting the delegation in Milwaukee in August. These positions allow for students to be on the convention floor and meet Democratic Party leaders from across the country. Kyle is a senior at Timberlane Regional High School in Plaistow, the co-founder of the Timberlane Regional High School Democrats, the political director for the New Hampshire High School Democrats, and was a volunteer for Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign in New Hampshire.
