HAMPSTEAD — As part of a community service project, the upper school students at Hampstead Academy are sewing joey pouches for infant marsupials orphaned by the wildfires in Australia. Once finished, the pouches will be mailed to Australia to be distributed to wildlife caregivers for animals in need. Creating the pouches is the first phase of the community service project.
The project will continue into the spring through a fundraiser to benefit Wildcare Australia.
The students are very happy to be helping with this worthwhile cause.
