PORTSMOUTH — Strawbery Banke is pleased to offer a Virtual Archaeology Field School from Mon., June 21 through Fri., July 2.
This virtual course is intended to offer training in archaeological methodology to students in the fields of archaeology, anthropology, history, or related fields. Because social science research has been interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, archaeologists are relying on mediated techniques to continue their research. This virtual field school offers a series of eight self-paced modules including material and digital techniques that participants can explore and apply. The instructor provides recorded tours and videos from the museum grounds and lab, digital course readings, and virtual activities.
Costs: Members $50.00; Nonmembers $75.00. Limited to 35 participants.
