STRATHAM — Children of all ages are being invited to follow their dreams right into

Wiggin Memorial Library in Stratham by participating in the 2012 Summer Reading Program, "Dream Big, Read!". As part of a national Collaborative Summer Library Program, Wiggin is offering a wide variety of events and reading opportunities to keep boys and girls connected with books and their library throughout the summer.

The summer programming will kick off on Fri., June 29, at 7:00 p.m., with the ever popular, kids' favorite Toe Jam Puppet Band for a zany and exuberant performance of "Toe Jam in Outer Space!" The show, which is being held in the Stratham Municipal Center Community Room (10 Bunker Hill Avenue), features a spacey dress-up puppet show and some crazy anti-gravity dancing! Audience members of all ages are encouraged to sing and dance along with Toe Jam as they entertain with a unique combination of original songs and interactive storytelling. This show is free and open to the public with no registration required.

In-person registration for all other summer activities offered for toddlers through 5th-graders (which includes the Museum of Science "Science Magic" presentation, Children's Museum of New Hampshire's "Up All Night in NH" program about nocturnal animals, Lindsay & Her Puppet Pals, and much more) is taking place in the Youth Activity Room now through June 29. Detailed calendars are available as well as reading logs for children to record their summer reading (or being read to) and earn free books and other exciting prizes. In addition, children are invited to participate in "Dream Big...Feed!" to help the Seacoast Family Food Pantry. If a child brings in a food pantry donation when turning in the "Dream Big" reading log, he/she will earn extra chances to win prizes in the end-of-summer prize drawing. More information (including Seacoast Family Food Pantry wish lists) is available in the Children's Room.

Summer Storytimes for toddlers and preschoolers will be held on Wednesdays

from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m., in the Stratham Community Room, on July 11, 18, and 25

and August 1 and 8. Registration is required. Wiggin will also be offering a Summer Baby Lapsit session on Fridays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., in the Youth Activity Room on the following dates: July 6, 13, 20, and 27 and August 3.
