EXETER – The Exeter Speak-Ups Toastmasters’ Club will meet on Wed., August 1, 7:00-9:00 p.m. in Conference Room #1 at the Exeter Healthcare Building, 4 Alumni Drive, on the Exeter Hospital campus and near the parking garage. The Speak-Ups meet on the first, third and, when one occurs, fifth Wednesdays of each month. Handicapped parking is available near the door of the Healthcare Building. Newcomers are always welcome

A typical Toastmasters’ meeting offers prepared speeches of varying lengths, with opportunities for short extemporaneous speeches. Newcomers can proceed at their own pace, and there is no pressure to speak. Toastmasters’ clubs also offer varied leadership opportunities Speakers at the July 18 meeting included Celeste Cole, Lars Leimanis, and Lucy Paine Kezar.
