HAMPTON — Join the Hampton Historical Society (HHS) for its 18th Annual Southern Pig Roast to be held on Sat., August 24, from noon – 2:30 p.m., on the grounds of the Tuck Museum of Hampton History at 40 Park Avenue.
Enjoy fresh, succulent pork, roasted overnight over wood coals, applesauce, homemade baked beans and brown bread, salads – and lots of desserts. For those not partial to pork, there are other choices from the grill.
Spend a pleasant afternoon under tents enjoying your meal while listening to music by the Billy Billy Band, back by popular demand. Place your bids on the many items in the silent auction held in the historic barn, and try your luck with the 50/50 raffle.
Snack on free popcorn throughout the event prepared by Hampton resident Ron Frigon in his 100-year-old popcorn wagon.
Tickets are $20.00 for adults and $10.99 for students ages 9 to 16 – children 8 years old and under accompanied by an adult are free of charge.
