STRATHAM - On June 29, the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium's portable skylab will be at the Great Bay Discovery Center to do two morning programs.

Skylab is an inflatable planetarium that can hold up to 25 kids/adults. The staff from the planetarium will be doing a program on the summer solstice, summer constellations and the night sky. The programs are at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., and are for kids age 5 and older. The cost for the program is $2.00 for kids and $3.00 for adults. There will also be some astronomy information and activity sheets as well as some star cookies for kids and parents to enjoy. To register for the program please call the Discovery Center at 603-778-0015. This is "kick-off" program for the Bay Ventures kids' summer program. Participation is limited so call today and reserve your space!

The Discovery Center is located on 89 Depot Road on the Stratham/Greenland town line just off Route 33. It is the educational facility for the Great Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve and is funded by NOAA and administered by NH Fish and Game.
