NEWTON — Jasmine, the Read Dog, visits at the Gale Library each Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. to listen to children read to her. Jasmine is a registered therapy dog who has been trained to volunteer with her owner as a reading companion for children. They are great listeners. When children have read five times with Jasmine, they may choose a book from the treasure chest to keep. If your child would like to read with Jasmine, call or visit the Library to reserve a time, 382-4691.

Congratulations to all our readers! The Winter Reading Programs. Make sure to fill out and get your Reading Logs in. Also check the list to see if you were a Winner and collect your prize.

"Puss in Boots" will be shown at the Library Movie Matinee on Fri., March 16 at 1:00 p.m. This is a no school day. The film is rated PG. Popcorn will be served, please bring your own juice or water.

Wii and Game Night for teens and tweens will be held on Mon., March 26 at 6:00 p.m. Bring a friend for fun and games.

Great Stone Face books are available for children in grades 4- 6 to read and vote on during National Library Week in April. The GSF list is created by NH librarians to encourage recreational reading by children. A list of twenty-five books is selected that represents the diverse reading abilities and interests of children in grades 4 to 6.

Cribbage continues each Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. for adults and teens. There's always someone willing to teach the card game so come join in.
