KINGSTON —Ancestry.com has arrived at Kingston Library! The nations most popular genealogy tool is now available to Kingston residents. Stop by or call the library to learn how to log onto Ancestry.com so you can start uncovering your family's past!
The Photo Contest Deadline has been extended. When the new Library opens we hope to have the walls covered in images of Kingston residents (past and present) reading in locations across town or at the old library. Remember reading doesn't just involve books- you could be reading a magazine, Kindle, Nook, phone, tablet or computer. Send us your photos by March 23. One prize, a Kindle, will be awarded. All photos must identify the name of the Kingston resident(s) as well as the location of the photo. Photographs should be sent to Sarah Sycz Jaworski, email@example.com.
On March 21 and 28, join us in the Children's Room for preschool sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Our Baby Tales program will continue on March 15 and 29 at 11:00 a.m. Won't you join our story circle? One of our upcoming themes will be baby farm animals; as we imitate, create, and pretend play with these fine furry friends.
Do you think you know the "Dewey Number system?" Be sure to stop in and participate in our Dewey Scavenger Hunt. Simply take a bookmark that has a Dewey number on it, select a book from that section, read it and write about your favorite part onto the bookmark. At the end of the month these bookmarks will be great giveaways for all to enjoy.
On St. Patrick's Day, March 17, please join us between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. for a Shamrock Hunt, a very green project to make, take home, and even eat; and who would want to miss out on our St. Paddy's Day raffle that will take place.
