SANDOWN — The Sandown Garden Club will sponsor "Bats of New Hampshire" given by Speaking for Wildlife volunteers Carol Doering and Celia Adams, who are both Coverts Cooperators. Doering is also a Natural Resource Steward and Master Gardener. The program looks at different bats found in our state, where to look for them, and how residents can help conserve these fascinating mammals. The NH bat population is currently being threatened by a devastating disease called white-nose syndrome. The public is invited to this important presentation on Mon., April 2 at 7:00 p.m. to be held at the Sandown Recreation Center on Pheasant Run Drive. Refreshments will be served and door prizes (bat houses, of course) given away.

The Sandown Garden Club is a member of the New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. and the National Garden Clubs, Inc. For more information visit
