PLAISTOW – The St Jude Council #6617 of the Knights of Columbus, Plaistow/Atkinson will be holding their fifth middle school dance of the school year for children in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades on Fri., January 18. This is the 17th year that the dances have been held. The dance is open to all children in these grades regardless of their school district. The dance is held at St Luke’s Church Hall (formerly Holy Angels) on Rte 121 near the Haverhill/Atkinson line. The dance runs from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. (please note the time change from 9:00 to 9:30 p.m.). The admission cost is $5.00, and there is a concession stand with cold drinks and snacks available. The dance will run the third Friday of each month with the exception of March when there will be no dance and in June when it will be held on Fri., June 6.

The dance is well chaperoned with 20+ adults and there is also a policeman on duty inside the dance. This month’s co-sponsoring youth group is the Timberlane High School Soccer Boosters. The children are expected to show up in proper attire (school type rules apply). When you arrive, your car will be lined up in the parking lot. Tickets sellers go from car to car selling the admission tickets. The children are then let into the hall at approximately 6:55 p.m. Cars are then released from the parking lot.
