PLAISTOW —The Carl G. Davis Post 34 of The American Legion and the Memorial Day Committee wish to invite the residents of Plaistow, and surrounding towns, to participate in the Memorial Day Parade on Mon., May 27.
The Post 34 Honor Guard will start the day with a ceremony at the Westville Cemetery at 9:00 a.m; everyone is invited to this ceremony.
The Parade will form at the Pollard School at 9:30 a.m. and step off at 10:00 a.m. to go directly to the Plaistow Cemetery where the American Legion will conduct a brief ceremony. The Parade will return to Pollard Park to conduct a program involving The American Legion, Plaistow Town Officers, Pollard School children, Girl, Cub and Boy Scouts, and the Post 34 Honor Guard, the Plaistow Police Honor Guard and the Plaistow Fire Department Honor Guard.
This year, Memorial Day celebration will be dedicated to all Korean War Veterans. All Korean War Veterans are welcome to partake in the festivities.
