KINGSTON — Don’t miss the Friends of the Library first annual Plant Sale on Sat., May 18, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The sale will feature organic herbs and vegetables! Between 12:00-1:00 p.m. join the celebration of the First Anniversary of the opening Kingston Community Library (there will be cake)!

The Friends of the Library are generously sponsoring a museum admission reimbursement program. Instead of getting a discount to only the museums we have passes for, you can get a discount at any museum or zoo! Purchase admission tickets at the regular price at the time of the visit, fill out the reimbursement form you can pick up at the library, include a copy of the ticket receipt, and bring the form and receipt to the library. A reimbursement check will be mailed to the patron within two weeks. Reimbursement is limited to fifty-percent of the ticket price up to $20.00 per family group visit. Amusement and theme parks are not covered.

Did you know you can take a Telescope out of the library just like a book or movie? Well, you can! For ten days you can use our Orion Starblast telescope! The telescope comes equipped with carrying stand, constellation guide, instructions, and a red light head lamp so you can read without interfering with your night vision! May is a great month to see Jupiter and Saturn, so why not check it out today?

Ages 3+ are invited to join Miss Sue for an afternoon of stories, tea (juice), and music on Fri., May 10 at 2:00 p.m.

Book Babies, a story time for children ages 0-36 months runs every Monday at 10:30 a.m., until August 5.

Preschool story time continues on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., with a story and crafts. On May 9 we will celebrate Mother’s day, May 16 we will be making music, and on May 23 we will be planting our own flowers with Flowers are Fantastic!
