SANDOWN —The early days of summer are almost here and gardeners are looking forward to the coming bounty of their home gardens. The Sandown Garden Club is happy to present a delightful presentation on “Summer Herbs from Garden to Kitchen” given by Alison Hartung.
Alison is the owner of “Allies Home” which specializes in handcrafted herb and spice blends, jams, jellies and dip mixes. Alison will talk about herb history, plus tips, tricks and recipes for all those fresh garden herbs. She will also give a demonstration on how to prepare dishes using those harvested herbs and have samples to share. The program will take place on Mon., June 3 at 6:30 p.m. in Sandown’s Garvey Recreation Center on Pheasant Run Drive. This presentation is free and open to the public.
The Sandown Garden Club is a great resource for experienced and novice gardeners alike, offering all a way to meet new people, make friends and get involved in the community. The Sandown Garden Club is a non-profit organization, which meets on the first Monday of the month from March to November. New members are always welcome and being a Sandown resident is not required.
