FREMONT — In the past, the East Kingston Community United Methodist Church and the Peoples United Methodist Church in Fremont, in cooperation with the libraries in Fremont, East Kingston, and Brentwood, have sponsored a drive to assist two veterans’ centers that serves homeless veterans, Liberty House in Manchester, NH and the Veterans’ Northeast Outreach Center in Haverhill, MA.
This year, due to the Coronavirus, they will not be able to collect toiletry items, knitted and crocheted hats, or quilts, afghans, and sleeping bags. In lieu of these physical items, they encourage community members to make a monetary donation in any amount to one or both veterans’ centers so that our homeless veterans can be supported safely.
Please mail your check or money order no later than December 19, 2020, to: Liberty House, 221 Orange Street, Manchester, NH 03103…and/or…Veterans Northeast Outreach Center, 2 Reed Street, Haverhill, MA 01832 – Attention: Finance. Donations to the Veterans’ Northeast Outreach Center may also be made online at www.vneoc.org.
