ATKINSON — The Atkinson Conservation Commission is sponsoring two guided walks on the third Saturdays in July and August.

On Sat., July 20 we will walk the Woodlock trails with Pete McVay, who is an expert on many things, especially birds. On Sat., August 17 you will be led on a walk in the Sawyer Town Forest by UNH Cooperative Extension's Greg Jordan, who is an expert on invasive plants and tree identification. Both walks will start at 9:00 a.m.

The Woodlock trail features the famous "Indian Rock," as well as a lovely mixture of woods and the Hovey Meadow Pond. Sawyer is Atkinson’s largest Town forest (you will only walk part of it) and contains a very diverse population of trees and fields.
