SANDOWN — As summer approaches, many gardeners have an abundance of plants in their gardens that need to be divided or removed. The best way to recycle all that plant material is to share it with others at a Plant Swap. The Sandown Garden Club will hold its annual Swap on Mon., August 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Garvey Recreation Center on Pheasant Run Drive. The public is invited to join Club members in this fun event.

Participants can bring one, two or three plants, such as perennials, herbs or small bushes. The plants should be in sturdy pots or containers, healthy, established, well cared for and garden worthy. They need to be identified and have some care information included. Some plants may not be eligible such as annuals, invasive or diseased ones. The more plants you bring, the more new ones you go home with up to three plants per person. This is a great time to share gardening ideas, advice and maybe meet new friends. Light refreshments will be served during the set up, giving everyone a chance to look over the plants and ask questions.

You do not need to be a Sandown resident to join this Club. More information on the Club and membership can be found on the website The Sandown Garden Club belongs to both the New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc. and National Garden Clubs, Inc. To contact the Club, please email
