EXETER – Join the Exeter Historical Society on Sun., September 28, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., for a Family Open House. The program will take place at the Exeter Historical Society, 47 Front Street, Exeter, and is free and open to the public.
Bring the family to the historical society to explore life in Exeter over the centuries. Examine the original 1638 Wheelwright Deed to the town; learn about school life 100 years ago; print a bookmark using a working printing press; compare your bicycle to the 1870s velocipede, “the Bone Shaker”; watch a 1941 newsclip filmed in Exeter; enjoy delicious refreshments, and much, much more!
The Exeter Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the research and preservation of Exeter’s past. The Historical Society is open to the public on a weekly basis, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 – 4:30 pm, and on Saturdays from 9:30 am to noon.
