EXETER — Dams are a big part of our history in New Hampshire. Because of that, many communities often learn to balance history and ecology. During this Lamprey Learning Series field trip, we’ll learn about dams on the Lamprey River with Suzanne Petersen and Dick Lord of the Lamprey River Advisory Committee. “Dam Straight: Balancing History and Ecology” will be presented on Wed., August 14, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Come explore Industrial history of local dams; Eco-history of the Lamprey River; Environmental challenges of dams; and Finding a balance between sometimes competing for initiatives.
History lovers and nature lovers alike will enjoy this opportunity to learn more about the dams along the Lamprey River.
Suggested donation is $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family.
