NEWTON — The Country Pond Lake Association will hold their annual meeting on Sat., June 1, 9:00-11:00 a.m. at Kingston Community Library, 2 Library Lane.
This year's annual meeting will focus on understanding the recent reports of PFAS at the Ottati and Goss Superfund site and how it may affect Country Pond. They will have speakers from both the EPA and NH DES to answer your questions about the reported contamination and how it will be addressed by state and federal agencies. They will also discuss the grant that Country Pond has received for development of a watershed management plan and the Lake Host program at the Newton town ramp.
The presentations will be followed by a short business meeting. Members who have paid dues will be asked to vote on Board Members. After the business meeting they will hold a raffle with many great prizes!
Please come and find out more about some of the challenges facing Country Pond, what CPLA is doing about them and how you can help. If you aren’t a member, you can join CPLA at the meeting.
Light refreshments and coffee will be served.
