STRATHAM – The Stratham Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary invites you to join them at the Stratham Fair, Thurs., July 26 to Sun., July 29. Volunteers are needed to work in their two Sandwich Shoppe shacks throughout the fair. Shifts range from 3-4 hours. You will be working alongside Auxiliary members and friends, making sandwiches, serving customers and having a great time. The Stratham Fair is the primary fundraising effort for the SVFD Fire Department, SVFD Ladies Auxiliary as well as many other local non-profit groups. The funds raised working in the Sandwich Shoppes allows the Auxiliary to continue serving the community and the fire department. Please call Alison Pike or Vicki Cook to volunteer in the Sandwich Shoppes or to join the SVFD Ladies Auxiliary.

The Stratham Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary supports the Fire Department by providing aid at large scale emergencies, organizing worthwhile service projects and fundraising activities to help provide needed funds to purchase life saving equipment. The SVFD Ladies Auxiliary is comprised of family and friends of members of the fire department and members of the community who wish to be part of a great group of volunteers. With this its 40th year, the Stratham Fair is one of the oldest Country Fairs in New England. What started as a 250th Anniversary Celebration with a Lobster Bake and some Horse Pulling for amusement, has grown into a family event that is attended by over 40,000 people each year. In addition to being a summertime tradition and event, the Stratham Fair is the major fundraising event for the Stratham Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary. The Stratham Fair also provides fundraising opportunities for many of the youth groups and other Social Service Organizations in town.
