HAMPSTEAD —The Hampstead Lions Club will hold an Electronics and Small/Large Appliance Recycling Fundraiser on Sat., October 18, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at Stage Road Junction, corner of Routes 111 and 121 in Hampstead. All funds raised will go toward the support of Lions Charitable Efforts in the local community.

You can recycle just about anything! Now that Fall is here, get rid of those old computers, printers, copiers, TVs, VCRs, stereos, washers, dryers, air conditioners, refrigerators and freezers that are taking
up valuable space in your home. For a small fee, any appliance or electronic item that is difficult to discard or cannot be put at the curb for pick-up can be recycled at this charity fundraiser.

This is also great for the environment! Fees are: computers: full systems - $25.00, monitors or computer-
$10.00 each, printer - $5.00, telephones - $1.00, small appliances (microwaves, fax machines, etc.) - $5.00;
washers, dryers, stoves and air conditioners - $15.00; and refrigerators, water heaters, freezers - $20.00;
TVs/small - $15.00, TVs/large - $20.00. Certain bulk scrap metal items, such as barbeque grills and empty propane tanks with valves removed, may be accepted, as well.

For information on availability of pick-up of your heavy or bulky appliances or scrap metal items, call Bernadette (“Berny”) Longbook at 603-329-5603.

The Hampstead Lions Club has been serving those in need in the Hampstead area since 1965 with such
charitable missions as children's preventative vision screening; financial assistance for hearing aids and
other disability adaptive equipment for local residents in need; local Food Pantries funding and food
donations; winter clothing drives; Christmas Wish Trees; student scholarships for graduates and
summer camp scholarships for special needs children; and assisting local residents with particular
hardships as the needs arise, to name but a few community services.
