ATKINSON – The Atkinson Garden Club presents a tour of private gardens to celebrate National Garden Club’s Garden Week, June 3 - 9. The tour will take place on Sunday afternoon, June 3, from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. Each garden has been selected as a “Garden of the Month” over the past two summers. Each month a team of AGC members searches the town for a lovely garden to recognize with a special sign for the entire month. Gardens are chosen May through September. Now these private gardens will be open for all to visit and enjoy. Club members will be on hand to welcome visitors, identify plants and serve refreshments.

Tickets are available the day of the tour at the Atkinson Community Center, 4 Main Street, Atkinson, for a donation of $5.00, to benefit the club’s scholarship fund. A graduating senior from Timberlane Regional High School who plans to study horticulture or a related topic receives a scholarship each year.

Atkinson Garden Club welcomes new members. Club members learn about horticulture, floral design, civic beautification and landscape design. If you would like to attend a meeting and learn more about the projects of the club, please call Pat Bennett, membership director, at 362-8316.
