DOVER —All who are concerned about the human detention camps in the United States are invited to join other area residents in a local Lights for Liberty event this Fri., July 12, at Dover City Hall, from 8:00-9:30 p.m. The event in Dover is intended to be a positive affirmation of core American values and a rejection of the policies that separate families and detain children and adults in filthy, frightening conditions.
Lights for Liberty is a grassroots effort to draw attention to the plight of those who are being held in inhumane conditions. There are events scheduled on five continents and in more than 600 locations worldwide for this Friday night.
There will be a short program and music, and then participants in Dover, and around the state and country and the world, will light candles in a silent vigil for all those held in US detention camps to bring light to the darkness of the administration’s horrific policies.
