PORTSMOUTH - In early December, the talented New Hampshire Gay Men’s Chorus (NHMGC) performs its spectacular holiday concert tour, “A Rose in Winter,” in celebration of Christmas, Hanukkah, and other holiday traditions. The program includes several beautiful ballads in NHGMC’s signature four-part harmony, as well as some whimsical, fun holiday ditties.
In addition to chorus singers, NHGMC also features a female soloist for the first time in its history - the very talented Soprano, Sarah Chadwick, whose father and brother also sing in the chorus. Sarah sings “The Rose” and several other delightful solo parts. It’s NHGMC’s “Sweet 16th” year, and the chorus is rolling out some of the sweetest sounds of the season in “A Rose in Winter.”
There will be four performances: December 7 at 7:30 p.m.,, Nashua Community College, Nashua; December 8 at 4:00 p.m.,, Christ Episcopal Church, Portsmouth; December 14 at 7:30pm, Wesley United Methodist Church, Concord; and December 15 at 4:00pm, Derryfield School, Manchester.
