ROCHESTER — When the red velvet curtain goes up at the Rochester Opera House the evening of Thurs., August 22, the audience will experience and be part of the making of a live music DVD. The location was chosen by national Christian Country recording artist MARK209 from Nashville, Tn. specifically because, although the quartet travels the country, New England is their favorite area. It’s where they have gained the largest number of loyal fans since beginning to appear at venues in New England during the last six years.

The historic Opera House was a fitting venue for the event. Since 1908 the theater has welcomed vaudeville, gospel and country entertainers. MARK209 will highlight each of those genres with their selections of gospel, country and patriotic music along with their comedic dialogues. Emmy-nominated filmmaker/director, Joseph Spence, will travel from Nashville to film the project. Fans will be traveling from as far away as Texas to be part of the premier event. Tickets are only $6.00. Although there may be tickets available at the door, to avoid disappointment they should be ordered ahead on the MARK209 Facebook page or by calling 603-329-6047.
