RYE/EXETER —We are all looking forward to a warm and wonderful gardening season after such a record-breaking snowy and cold winter. The Rye Driftwood and Exeter Area Garden Clubs join together in inviting you to their combined May meeting to enjoy hearing gardener, teacher, author and lecturer Kerry Ann Mendez on Tues., May 19, 9:30 a.m. at Rye Congregational Church, located in Rye Center.

With infectious enthusiasm, Kerry will share her twenty-five years of tremendous knowledge and expertise in horticulture. Her approachable, friendly style is like sharing a conversation over the garden fence. She will discuss having “The Right-Size Garden”, balancing your gardens with your lifestyle, without spending a fortune in time or money. Time-saving techniques, tips and user- friendly garden designs will be shared. Her simple, no nonsense approach has inspired many with standing-room-only crowds at venues such as the Philadelphia Flower Show, Boston Flower Show and others. The Massachusetts Horticultural Society bestowed their 2014 Gold Medal honor for promoting horticulture for public good. Kerry Ann Mendez is a ‘passionate perennialist’ mixing humor with practical tips for creating low-maintenance, high impact gardens. Thousands have been inspired by her approach to breathtaking, sustainable gardens and landscapes.
