EXETER —The Exeter Adult Diploma program is now registering students for the Fall 2019 semester courses that begin September 5. This program is designed for students who did not complete high school but who would like to earn a diploma by taking courses in the evening similar to those taken by high school students. Classes are small and are offered Monday and Thursday evenings. Online classes may also be part of an individual’s course schedule.

Adults interested in this program should call the Adult Education office ASAP at 603-775-8457 to arrange an appointment. Prospective students are asked to bring a copy of their high school transcript and certificates of any other training in order to evaluate how many credits they have already earned. In addition, older students may also qualify for work experience or military credits.

The selection of courses this semester includes Mondays: Algebra, English and Foundations of Math and Thursdays – Biology with lab, Chemistry with lab and American Democracy. Limited scholarships are available thanks to the generous support of the Exeter Rotary Club and Exeter Lion’s Club.

These courses are also open to adults who have completed high school but who also would like more background in a given subject area. Many adult students take these courses to prepare themselves for college courses or for college prerequisites in math and science. Anyone interested in taking courses in the Diploma Program should call as soon as possible, as these classes have limited enrollment, and pre-registration is required.
