MONDAY, JUNE 14

10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.: Mother Goose on the Loose: Join us Monday mornings on YouTube for movement, reading, rhymes, and songs. Mother Goose on the Loose is a brain-based program consisting of thirty minutes of fun, skill-building activities. Some benefits of the programs are the following: aids speech development, improves motor coordination, develops attention span, and encourages a love of books and book illustrations. We will post the link to the day's YouTube video ten (10) minutes prior to the start time. You can find archived story times from previous programs, too. 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.: Messy Monday: Looking for something fun to do with your child? Join us for child-centered, creative exploration! Art, science, and crafts will all be incorporated into this program and you can leave the mess for us! We will provide aprons, but please dress your child in clothing that can get messy. This group is limited to 10 children (ages 2 - 6) and registration is required. Today's Program: Watermelon Foam Soap. This craft will be done outdoors, socially distanced. 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Family Fun in the Kitchen: Join us for some family fun in the kitchen. We will be making Pie in a Cup. Participants are required to register and will receive an email with the login information to this Zoom event. TUESDAY, JUNE 15

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Crafting Crew: Crafts to make at home! Each registered participant will receive a Take & Make Bag containing craft materials for each week's craft. If you did not request a bag, most crafts can be made with materials you probably have at your home, so check out the craft video! This activity for children aged 2-6 years old. The directions for each week's craft will be pre-recorded then posted to the library's YouTube channel each Thursday.

Please note: Registering for this event will register you for the entire month (May) of crafts. Each Take and Make bag has the entire month's craft materials included!

6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.: Books & Bites Book Discussion: “Five Feet Apart” by Rachael Lippincott: Can you love someone you can never touch? Will is exactly what Stella needs to stay away from. If he so much as breathes on Stella she could lose her spot on the transplant list. Either one of them could die. The only way to stay alive is to stay apart. But suddenly six feet doesn’t feel like safety. It feels like punishment.

THURSDAY, JUNE 17

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Storytime Outdoors: This is a story time for children to connect with friends and enjoy stories, songs, puppets and more. Our themed stories are designed to encourage the development of early literacy skills and build friendships with others. This program is for children aged 2 - 6 years old. For the safety and privacy of all participants, registration is required, and class size is limited. This is an in-person Storytime outside and will be at the Fremont Road Town Forest! 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Storytime on YouTube: In this pre-recorded Storytime we explore early literacy skills, letter knowledge, and sound recognition, reading comprehension and vocabulary building. 4:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.: Fun with Science: Soda Explosion Experiment. School is almost over! Summer is almost here! In celebration of the last day of school and the start of summer, we are going to conduct an experiment using Mentos and different types of soda. Which brand of soda will create the largest fountain? This program will be held outside at the Sandown Public Library. Registration is required. This program is for ages 6+.
