EAST KINGSTON — We are kicking off 2020 with a number of interesting programs. Zoe will offer a DIY program on candle making on Wed., January 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the East Kingston Public Library. It is always fun to get a couple of friends together for a night out and the opportunity to try a new craft. Heather and Zoe will be offering a Makers’ Meeting that will celebrate the Chinese New Year. This year is the Year of the Rat. The program will be offered on Sat., January 25 at 10:30 a.m. Spaces are limited for both these programs and you ate encouraged to stop by or call to reserve your spot.

Did Santa put a new appliance under your tree?

Have you been ignoring a new tool because you cannot find any good recipes for it? Whether you have a slow cooker, pressure cooker or air fryer we have a cookbook for you.

Maybe it is time to dust off that bread machine and cook up a loaf to go with a winter soup.

Sometimes it is just good to get out of the dinnertime rut and check out a new cookbook. Of course, we have healthy and special diet magazines and books. Keto and gluten-free are spoken here, too.

Watch social media on Facebook and Instagram for up to the minute information on programing and remember that the library will be closed on Mon., January 20 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.
