MERRIMAC —The Friends of the Merrimac Public Library present “A Revolution of her Own: The Story of American Heroine, Deborah Sampson” on Sat., June 29, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Merrimac Public Library at 470 Daniel Webster Highway.

History at Play ™ has garnered nationwide attention for their one-woman, living history performances. It was established in 2010 to create enriching historical entertainment by the portrayal of ‘influential, but oft forgotten women’. Judy Kalaora, the founder and artistic director, brings to life the legendary women who changed society The story of Deborah Sampson, the first woman to enlist, fight and be honorably discharged from the American Military (while disguised as a man) will both entertain and enrich your knowledge of the American Revolution.

This is a free, family-friendly program and open to the public. Registration is not required.
