Rug Hooking Class: Learn the art of creating beautiful rugs on Mon., January 27 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. In this class, you will learn basic hooking techniques, including rug types, backings, color planning and finishing options. Beginners are welcome!

Valentine CRAFTernoon: Use your choice of pre-cut Valentine-themed paper kits along with assorted card stock and embellishments to create a beautiful Valentine card for someone special on Tues., January 28 at 3:00 p.m. All supplies provided! $10.00 suggested donation. Join Shannon from The Green Griffin in Kingston to learn how to make a festive floral display for Valentine’s Day on Tues., February 4 at 3:00 p.m. All supplies are provided. Reading with Kide, a local therapy dog: Do you love dogs? Do you love to read? Then this is the program for you! Join us and visit Kide, a beautiful Finnish Lapphund on Tuesdays, January 21 at 28 at 4:00 p.m. Sign up for a 15-minute slot and come and read with him and his owner Kim!

Kids Woodworking – Making Birdfeeders: Help feed the birds this winter! Come make a wooden bird feeder to hang in your garden on Sat., January 25 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Space is limited. Sign up is required. Children under the age of 8 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Family Movie Night: The Friends of Kingston Community Library are pleased to offer the screening of “Dora and the Lost City of Gold” on Fri., January 31 at 4:30 p.m. Pizza and popcorn will be provided. You bring a water bottle. Please sign up.

Lego Club: Can You Make It? A new building challenge is offered each month. All ages are welcome. Come and build something on Fri., February 7 at 4:00 p.m. and they’ll display it in the children’s room.

T.T. (Tween Team): Valentine’s Day is near – ages 10-14 are invited to come make a marshmallow meltaway and design the perfect gift box to present your finished project on Thurs., February 13 at 4:00 p.m. Challenge rules will be announced the day of the event.
