Live Webcast Event for Apollo 11 Anniversary: What was the sequence of this incredible mission? Where on the Moon did they land? And how did they return safely to Earth? Join us for a guided recreation via Webcast of Apollo 11’s journey to see how this mission was executed by crew members and mission control in Houston. This live webcast will be held on Mon., July 15 at 4:00 p.m. and is brought to you by the American Museum of Natural History and the STAR Library Network’s NASA@ My Library program.

Open Meditation: Come experience the benefits of meditation and the encouraging power of meditating as a group on Tuesdays at 9:45 a.m. and Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. For experienced meditators.

NASA@MyLibrary, Making Rock Crystals: Learn how to create your very own awesome colored crystals on Mon., July 15 at 2:00 p.m. We’ll start them here in the library then watch them grow and form at home!

Sheryl Faye Presents Sally Ride: The First American Woman in Space! Don’t miss this interactive space adventure on Tues., July 16 at 3:30 p.m. Sally (as portrayed by Sheryl Faye) will perform some exciting interactive experiments and you will learn all about the first American woman in space!

Story Time with Blades, the Boston Bruins Mascot: We were one of the lucky libraries chosen to receive a visit from the famous Boston Bruins Mascot, Blades! Come, meet Blades, and have your picture taken with him during this amazing event on Wed., July 17 at 10:30 a.m.

NASA@MyLibrary, Recipe for a Planet: We will be making edible models of Earth and Mars as we take a closer look at the layers of our planets on Thurs., July 18 at 2:00 p.m.

Tween Team – Outdoor Solar System (Part Two): Kids ages 10-14 will be building their own outdoor solar system model for all library patrons to enjoy on Thurs., July 18 at 4:00 p.m. This project is a two-part event.
