KINGSTON — September is Library Card Sign Up Month! Anyone with an address in Kingston or Newton can come in and get a card for free and take advantage of all the great services we offer. Non-residents can also get a card for a subscription fee with all the same privileges! A library card at Kingston Community Library gives you access to services like Overdrive, Libby, Access World News, and Hoopla. Don’t forget about our selection of popular books, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and audiobooks. A library card brings stories to life – get carded today!

The Raffle for "Spirit of N.H." continues through September! Featured artist Bob Eastman has generously provided another print, “The Spirit of N.H.” featuring the Old Man in the Mountain that is available to win. You still have time to enter! Bob's work will be on display until the end of September, at which time the drawing will be made. Raffle tickets are one for $5.00 or three for $10.00. All proceeds support the library.

Pollinator-Friendly Fall Clean Up: Preserving Pollinator Pathway Habitat and Biodiversity: With a few simple changes to your landscaping approach, you can provide overwintering habitat for pollinators like our native bees. And it means less work for you, too! Patty Laughlin of Lorax Landscaping discusses traditional fall landscape clean-ups and techniques for preserving garden and pollinator health for spring on Thurs., September 19 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. There is no charge to attend. Pilgrims of Woodstock: A 50-Year Retrospective: The 50th anniversary of the 1969 Woodstock Festival is upon us! Join author John Kane to celebrate the release of his upcoming book “Pilgrims of Woodstock”. His multi-media, lecture/presentation "Pilgrims of Woodstock: A 50 Year Retrospective" commemorates the historic event and its attendees. Were you there on August 15-17, 1969? After School Club: Makerspace We’ll be having lots of fun in the kids room this month as we invent an egg drop container, create homemade lava lamps, construct structures that hold weight, and design catapults!
