KINGSTON — Kingston Community Library is pleased to offer the following upcoming programs.
Gentle Yoga: Are you looking to relax and rejuvenate? Gentle Yoga classes are held on Mondays from 12:15-1:15 p.m. and Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Each class will focus on breathing, gentle stretching, strength poses, core, healthy spine, relaxation techniques and meditation. The class is multilevel allowing your practice to progress at a pace that is right for you Space limited to 15 on a first come first served basis!
King Arthur Book Club: Led by Dr. John Chandler. Books are available at the library! All are welcome to join the informal discussions on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.
Ancestry Workshop: An introductory workshop for beginners who are interested to learn about Ancestry.com and similar websites will be offered on Tues., June 11 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. Let us help you start your journey of discovering how to access your family tree. Hosted by Donna Roy and Steve Farrington.
There will be no Messy Baby Play Group on Fri., June 7 and Fri., June 28.
Lego Club: Can You Make It? A new building challenge each month, all ages welcome. Come and build something on Fri., June 7 at 4:00 p.m. and it will be displayed it in the children’s room.
Reading with Kide, a local therapy dog: Do you love dogs? Do you love to read? Then this is the program for you! Come visit Kide, a beautiful Finnish Lapphund on Tues., June 11 at 4:00 p.m. Sign up for a 15-minute slot and come and read with him and his owner Kim!
T.T (Tween Team) for ages 10-14: Back by popular demand: Build & Race! Design and build your vehicle, then race your opponents to the finish line on Thurs., June 13 at 4:00 p.m. Dress for the weather, you’ll be working outside (rain or shine!). Challenge rules will be announced on the day! Pizza and drinks provided. Please sign up.
Summer Reading Sign Up starts on Mon., June 17. This year’s theme is a “A Universe of Stories”. Stop by the Children’s Room to sign up and pick up your event calendar for the program.
