NEWTON —The month of October brings a variety of programs to the Gale Library for all ages!

Join us on Wed., October 8 at 2:00 p.m. for a Family Movie Matinee. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon with friends on this early release day from school. Bring along your favorite snack, pillow and beverage. Popcorn is always available at the library.

Attorney Edward Beasley will conduct a free seminar on the subject of planning financial trusts on Wed., October 15, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Complimentary copies of the book, “Trusts For The Average Person, The Optimum Estate Plan” will be distributed to attendees. This seminar is free and open to the general public.

A Windows 8.1 Technology Workshop will be held on Mon., October 20 at 1:00 p.m., along with an iPad Workshop that will follow at 2:30 p.m. Bring along your electronic devices and questions for these informative sessions. Reserve your seat now. Registration is limited as to allow for personal instruction.

Chef Joy will be back with another of his fabulous food presentations on Wed., October 22 at 6:30 p.m. The theme this time will be, The Art of Fruit Carving. Chef Joy will offer entertaining ideas for the upcoming holidays. Learn techniques to create dazzling edible centerpieces. Guests will have the opportunity to assist with a hands on portion of the program.

The library will be closed on Mon., October 13 in recognition of Columbus Day.
