NEWTON — November Non-Perishable Pantry Items Collection: During the month of November the Friends of the Gale Library would like to request donations of non-perishable pantry items for those in need. Please drop donations at the Library and we will deliver to the Town Hall to help stock the Food Pantry shelves. We thank you for your support and generosity.

Christmas Raffle Basket: Tickets Now On Sale! The Friends of the Gale Library have assembled a fabulous Family Christmas Basket! Tickets for the raffle are now on sale for $1.00 each or six for $5.00. The drawing will be held on Wednesday, December 15. Lots of great gift cards and gifts!

Open Hours: The Gale Library doors are open during the following hours: Mondays and Wednesdays, 12:00-6:00, Tuesdays and Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., and Fridays, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. If you aren’t feeling well, please stay home. Thank you!

Adult Craft Kit... More coming in December! Our adult craft kits have been a huge success so we’re working on weekly adult craft kits for next month! A new kit will be available for each week of December and will include Christmas Gnomes, Santa Pants Plant Pots, Decorative Christmas Trees and Pom-Pom Book Marks. These adult craft kits are extremely popular, so if you want to make sure you get one, please call or email the library and we will put one aside for you! While supplies last! Please take one per adult and feel free to post a picture of your finished craft on our Facebook Page!

Decoration Day! Join us in the children’s room Sat., December 4, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. where we will be decorating the Christmas tree, frosting Christmas cookies and creating Christmas Crafts. No sign up necessary, just pop on over!

Preschool Story Time: Join us in person every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. for preschool story time! Miss. Hayley will read a collection of stories, sing some songs and we’ll even have our themed craft kits to take home. Space in the children’s room is limited so please call in advance to sign up! Craft Kit Pick Up: Stop by the library and pick up your craft kit. There are two crafts to make at home, coloring pages and a puzzle to challenge you! New kits are put out each Tuesday...while supplies last!

1000 Books Before Kindergarten: The concept is simple — the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler.
