SUMMER READING PROGRAM
Registration is open for our annual Summer Reading Program for children, teens, and adults. We hope you will join us for a fun-filled summer packed with stories, activities, programs, and prizes related to this year’s theme – “Tails and Tales”.
All registered readers are awarded raffle tickets based on how many books (or even magazines) they have read, and prizes are picked weekly. Logs are available for children and teens; adults are on an honor system. Please call us or stop by to register.
Our official Summer Reading Program kick-off event for children will be on the morning of Thurs., June 24 when we welcome the baby animals of Charmingfare Farm. After a brief presentation, children will be invited to pet the animals. Registration is required. Please contact the children’s room at 603-382-6733 or email email@example.com for more information.
We are excited to partner with local naturalist and outdoor educator, Kim Cote, to offer a series of programs including Nature Walks for all ages. We will explore local conservation lands looking for evidence of animals and habitats. The outings will also include stories for children and suggested reading lists. Stay tuned for dates and further information.
Other programs and activities include a Chicken Little Tale on a Trail from June 19-July 3, STEAM activities for kids, a poetry workshop, stuffed animal Story Time, a virtual pet show, a teen book club, and more. Visit our website colbymemoriallibrary.org and follow us on Facebook for more information on these and more programs in the works.
