HAMPTON – Hampton Parks & Recreation is currently accepting sign-ups for a day trip on Mon., August 26 to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, located in Boothbay, Maine.
Transportation will be aboard a luxury coach bus, which departs at 8:30 a.m. from the Park & Ride lot on Route 27 in Hampton, arriving at the botanical gardens at about 10:30 a.m.
Participants on this trip will have the option to join the scheduled 11:00 a.m. highlights tour, and will enjoy a noontime luncheon of assorted sandwiches, Maine vintage chips, a homemade cookie, and bottled water. After lunch, there will be time to continue exploring the gardens prior to boarding the bus at 2:00 p.m. for the ride back to Hampton.
Areas of interest include the Woodland Garden, the Lerner Garden of the Five Senses, Fairy House Village, the Arbor Garden, the Giles Rhododendron Garden, and a Meditation Garden, among others.
The cost for this trip is $70.00 per person and includes transportation, admission, highlights tour and the sandwich platter luncheon. The estimated return to Hampton is around 4:00 p.m.
