KINGSTON — The Kingston Recreation Commission is pleased to announce the following upcoming trips.
Don’t miss the entertainment cruise in Boston Harbor, aboard the Spirit of Boston on Thurs., July 18. There will be a luxury coach taking participants into Boston to board the ship, where everyone will enjoy a first-class buffet lunch, stunning views, and outstanding musical entertainment. The cost is $49.00 for Kingston Seniors (55+) and $53.00 for non-residents.
The bus will leave Kingston Town Hall at about 10:15 a.m. and will return at approximately 4:00 p.m. This trip usually fills up fast. For reservations, call Roger at 603-642-7257. If they have open seats available, they will also be accepting reservations for adults age 21 and over (as liquor is served on board the ship).
A trip to Old Orchard Beach on the Downeast train from Haverhill is also being planned. The train station at Old Orchard is only a five-minute walk from the beach and all the activities: souvenir shops, restaurants, arcades, and of course, the Pier. Lunch will be on your own at one of the various snack bars or restaurants.
Additional trips, with dates to be announced, include a Wine Tasting Party at Zorvino’s Vineyards in Sandown, including a tour of the wine-making areas, tasting of several wines and lunch platters for a total of about $20.00.
Finally, the very popular Downeast Maine lobster and clambake at York Beach, Maine, will be held in mid-September. This trip usually costs about $37.00.
