DERRY — The 33rd annual Derry Holiday Parade, this year titled Derry’s Nutfield Holiday Parade, will kick off at 1:00 p.m., Sat., November 30, in downtown Derry. This year’s parade theme is “Celebrations through the Years” in honor of the Nutfield 300th Anniversary Celebration.

Attracting nearly 10,000 spectators, Derry’s Nutfield Holiday Parade is one of the largest parades in southern New Hampshire and features the sights and sounds of more than 80 festive floats, marching bands, comical clowns, and costumed characters.

Participation in the parade is free for area businesses and community nonprofits and other organizations. Groups looking to enter a float, marching unit, or other entry into the parade must complete an online registration form and an online organization biography form by Fri., November 15. Visit the events calendar at to register.

“While participation in the parade is free, organizing the parade is not,” said Parade Committee Chair Steve Dente. “Indeed, even with volunteer labor, parade costs exceed $10,000 each year. To make this community event a reality, the Chamber’s Parade Committee seeks financial support from the community.”
