HAVERHILL, MA — The Trustees of Tattersall Farm, 542 North Broadway in Haverhill, are hosting an autumn walk through the meadows and forests at the Farm on Sat., October 17, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Naturalist “Boot” Boutwell will lead the walk. Come explore the beauty of Tattersall Farm in Haverhill, to enjoy our wildflowers and shrubs as they prepare themselves for winter. We’ll focus on those hardy wildflowers which decorate the mid-autumn landscape as well as some common trees and shrubs. We’ll learn how to identify these plants and discuss how they have been used historically by native Americans, colonials and modern folk. Boutwell teaches and leads nature walks for The Trustees of Reservations, The Appalachian Mountain Club, The Massachusetts Audubon Society, Arlington Community Education, The Native Plant Trust, The Winchester Public Schools, and numerous other organizations. Participants will experience the pleasure of taking a leisurely walk through the meadows and forests at the beautiful Tattersall Farm property and also learn some natural history and lore.
A $10.00 donation is suggested.
