KINGSTON — The Kingston Recreation Commission is planning the final summer excursion.
The very popular end of summer trip to Fosters in York Harbor, Maine for the Downeast lobster and clambake will be held on Wed., September 11. The luxury coach will leave Kingston Town Hall at 10:00 a.m. and return by approximately 4:00 p.m.
Musical entertainment will be provided before and during the meal, and a good dose of good old-fashioned humor. This feast includes clam chowder, steamed clams, corn on the cob, potatoes, onions, rolls, succulent Maine lobster (BBQ chicken or vegetarian plate may be substituted for lobster), and for dessert moist, warm blueberry crumb cake. A full-service beverage bar is available.
On the ride home, the bus will make a quick stop at “Nubble Light”, and a nice little stop at York Beach for saltwater taffy/kisses, fudge, yummy chocolate, or your favorite ice cream.
The cost is $35.00 for Kingston Seniors (50+) and $40.00 for non-residents. This trip usually fills up fast. For reservations, call Roger at 603-642-7257.
