KINGSTON — By planting milkweed and other plants, you can help monarchs, bees and butterflies in your yard or community. Come to the fall Seed Swap and get some seeds to plant before (or after) the ground freezes on Wed., October 23 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Kingston Community Library, 2 Library Lane. Have any of you ever gone to a cookie swap? The Pollinator Pathways thinks of this as similar...only it’s a seed swap.

At the swap, learn tips for successfully planting seeds in the Fall including which seeds actually require winter cold to germinate as well as which of the three different species of Milkweed and their water/soil/sun requirements. Bring your questions and any seeds you’d like to share (optional).
