PLAISTOW —The First Baptist Church, 122 Main Street in Plaistow is temporarily holding Sunday morning services at 10:00 a.m. outside in the parking lot of the Church. The church’s intrepid leaders, Pastor Aaron Goodro and Justin Knowlton, Music Director, have held these outdoor services in ninety-degree weather in the summer and twenty-degree windy weather recently. Pastor Aaron declares, “We can worship God in ninety-degree weather and in twenty-degree weather!”

The services include music, prayer, Scripture Reading and an uplifting sermon given from the flat roof overlooking the parking lot at the rear of the church. The services are broadcast on 88.5FM. All are welcome to attend, stay in their cars and dress warmly. Blankets are encouraged.

These services provide a sense of community and an opportunity to worship together while the church is “out of the building”. The church is closely monitoring COVID 19 numbers and hopes to return to indoor services when that can be safely done.

Alanon meetings are held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m., AA on Friday at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and NA on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. All these meeting are held in the church and CDC compliance is maintained.
