ATKINSON — Atkinson Congregational Church is continuing their 10:00 a.m. Sunday online worship services to help reduce the risk of COVID-19 exposure. The church has now added an additional way to view these services – on TV. The Atkinson Community Television (ACTV - Channel 20) is now broadcasting them at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, 7:00 a.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
“We’ve been fortunate to have great success with our virtual services,” said Pastor Jim Thomas. “We’re delighted to be able to provide multiple ways in which people can receive spiritual nourishment during these difficult times.”
Worshippers can find login information a number of ways: through Atkinson Congregational Church’s homepage, www.atkinsoncc.org; the church’s Facebook page; and by signing up on Atkinsoncc.org to receive the church’s e-newsletter. Virtual services are also available following worship through the church’s website and YouTube channel.
In addition to listening during virtual services, worshippers may type in prayer requests, which are collectively addressed during the service. They are also shared with a wider, caring audience as part of the church’s weekly prayer-request e-newsletter, which is another avenue where prayers can be requested directly.
Atkinson Congregational Church has also begun an online fellowship hour for congregants, held Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m., as well as a Bible study offering, held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 11:30 a.m. For more information, please contact the church or visit www.atkinsoncc.org or call 603-362-5519.
